Atmos Rewards launched on August 20, 2025, unifying the legacy Alaska Mileage Plan and Hawaiian Miles programs under a single umbrella following the merger of Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines. The combined program retains the best traits of both predecessors: generous partner award availability, straightforward earning, and above-average redemption value. As a Oneworld alliance member, Atmos Rewards opens the door to flights on Cathay Pacific, Japan Airlines, Qantas, British Airways, and many other global carriers, making it a strong choice for both domestic travelers on the West Coast and international flyers.

Earning miles in Atmos Rewards is unusually flexible because members can choose how they accumulate: by distance flown, ticket price, or number of segments. This pick-your-path model means that frequent short-haul flyers and occasional long-haul travelers alike can optimize their earning rate to match their travel patterns. Outside of flying, the Bank of America co-branded cards (Ascent and Summit tiers) provide solid everyday earning multipliers and perks like free checked bags and lounge access at higher card levels. Bilt Rewards transfers in at a 1:1 ratio, which is a strong pipeline for renters converting monthly payments into award flights.

Redemptions are where Atmos Rewards truly shines. Award tickets tend to price reasonably, especially on partner airlines, and the program still offers free stopovers on one-way awards, a feature almost no other U.S. carrier matches. This means you can visit two cities for the cost of one award ticket, dramatically increasing your value per mile. Award tickets are generally flexible with no cancellation fees, so you can lock in a booking with confidence and adjust later if plans change.

Elite status runs across four tiers: Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Titanium. Benefits include complimentary upgrades, bonus miles on paid flights, priority boarding, and lounge access at the upper levels. With the combined Alaska and Hawaiian route network based out of Seattle and Honolulu, the program is especially compelling for travelers in the Pacific Northwest, Hawaii, and anyone flying transpacific routes. The expanding international network post-merger makes Atmos Rewards one of the most improved programs in U.S. aviation.
